Every time my friends gather, the first thing to do is making fire. In winter, we keep our body warm with its heat. And in summer, we prevent mosquito attacking us with its smoke. And the best of all benefits, the fire always let us make tasty coffee.

We’ve made a lot of different styles of fire in years of outdoor and even indoor activities. And now we are officially addicted to fire. They call us “fire junkies,” ha ha.

Without question, I decided to locate a naked fireplace right in front of the wall of the entrance of this guesthouse. I intend to welcome people always with a warm fire throughout the year. Now I wonder how it’s like in hot and humid summer of Japan.
